New for 2026
Buile Hill Mansion is currently being lovingly restored back to its former glory.
Located at the heart of Buile Hill Park, surrounded by nature, this much-loved Grade II listed building will be a stunning venue for weddings and functions from early 2026.
Built between 1825 and 1827 for wealthy textile merchant and Manchester’s first mayor, Thomas Potter, the mansion still has original Georgian features including a grand staircase, ornate windows and original wrought iron radiators.
With its high ceilings, intricate coving and Georgian architecture, the mansion combines the character and splendour of years gone by, with modern day comfort and luxury.
The venue will boast an impressive ceremony room, and a separate function room with a fully stocked bar and dance floor for wedding receptions and other functions, for up to 80 guests. For larger parties, Buile Hill Park Hall, just next to the mansion, has a bigger room available for hire.
The location is hard to beat. Set within 87 acres of parkland, Buile Hill Park is Salford’s largest park and is also Grade II listed. Steeped in history, L. S. Lowry was a regular and author Frances Hodgson Burnett was said to have written her classic book The Secret Garden during one of her visits.
The park is easy to get to just off Eccles Old Road in central Salford, and there will be a new onsite car park with plenty of spaces for guests to park.
